TALES STORYTELLING FESTIVAL

May 25 @ 7:30 pmMay 28 @ 5:00 pm

150 Golden Threads

Kathy is Artistic Director of this annual Edmonton festival, which takes place in the Old Strathcona District and other nearby venues. This year’s edition features over 30 storytellers from across Canada, performing weekend shows for all ages, with admission by donation. Ticketed events include a Thursday night competitive Story Slam, and 2 evening concerts: Friday night’s “Canadian Spirits” offers spine-tingling stories & a chance to taste-test some spirits. Saturday night’s:”Tales, Trails and Rails” is a tribute to Canada’s 150th birthday. Visit the festival website: www.storyfestalberta.ca

Kathy is a featured teller in the Saturday concert. Her original story, “The Trail of ’42,” tells of the Alaska Highway, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. Built during WW2  by the American army, and cutting across some of northern Canada’s most rugged terrain, the highway is considered a remarkable feat of road engineering. The tale of its’ construction is inspiring! Learn more about Kathy’s latest project. Visit: www.alaskahighwayroadshow.com
